These towns have the highest child sex crime rates in the UK
Telford and Wrekin has the highest child sex crime rate in the UK, according to new .
It comes as child sex offences dramatically rose by 75 per cent in England and Wales in the past four years.
The figures released reveal the number of cases for 12 months up to September 2015.
In that time frame, there were 256 reported child sex cases in the area of Telford and Wrekin.

This isn’t as much as Doncaster – which reported 385 – but Telford and Wrekin has the highest change rate from the previous year at 146.2 per cent combined with number of cases reported.
Police recorded 36,855 child sex offences in the time frame. More than 10,000 of those were rape offences.

The reports included: Rape of a female child under 13; Rape of a female child under 16; Rape of a male child under 13; Rape of a male child under 16; Sexual activity involving a child under 13; Sexual activity involving child under 16; Sexual assault on a female child under 13 and; Sexual assault on a male child under 13.
The latest UK figure is compared with September 2012 which saw police forces record 16,114 child sex crimes.
This then sharply rose to 21,578 in the year to September 2013.
